Jewelry Care

It is best to wait until your skin has absorbed any perfume or lotion before wearing your jewelry. Remove your jewelry before exercising, swimming or bathing to avoid contact with sweat or water.

Store your jewelry in a safe, dry place to protect your pieces from the elements of daily exposure.

Over time with air exposure and normal wear, jewelry may need a gentle cleaning.

Gently scrub solid gold pieces with a soft-bristled brush such as a toothbrush, a detergent-free soap such as Dawn dish soap, and warm water. You may also soak pieces in warm water and soap for about a half hour before brushing; however, we do not recommend soaking pieces with stones in them. Then buff gently with a clean cloth.

For sterling silver jewelry, simply rub with a polishing cloth or pad.

For gold plated jewelry, dab lightly with a cotton ball or soft cloth to keep clean. Gold plating is a process where a thin layer of gold (e.g., 14k or 18k) is placed on to coat the surface of another metal (e.g., brass). Rubbing with a polishing pad could cause the plating to wear so using a cotton ball or soft cloth occasionally is best. Our gold plated pieces are plated with either 14k or 18k gold over brass.
