Sculptural fine jewelry for the rhythm of life, inspired by the beauty of things as they are
From her studio in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Anne Nichelson creates sculptural fine jewelry through the art of wax carving. After shaping raw materials into organic forms and artful textures, each piece is then cast in solid gold or sterling silver.
After years working in the United States and South America, Anne followed her entrepreneurial spirit back to her childhood love of art. Today, her brand fortenna® is where that creative vision comes to life. The name fortenna comes from forte, the musical term for strength, and enna, which is Anne spelled backwards.
Anne's work is rooted in the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, celebrating the beauty found in simplicity and the subtle textures of imperfection.
Every piece is designed to be lived-in and cherished, bridging the gap between artistic expression and everyday wear. Inspired by the beauty of things as they are, fortenna is designed for those who value creative expression, meaningful pieces, and enduring style.
“ I design styles that you can cherish without compromise -- jewelry that you can deeply love and live in while embracing the everyday.” - Anne
