Sculptural fine jewelry for the rhythm of life, inspired by the beauty of things as they are

The name fortenna combines forte, the musical term for strength, with enna, my name spelled backwards. Music has long been an inspiration, along with the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi - an appreciation for simplicity and the beauty of imperfection.

After years working in the United States and South America, I found my way back to my childhood love of art. Jewelry became a way to bring together my creative interests and entrepreneurial experience, allowing me to explore form, texture, and the relationship between artistic expression and everyday life.

In my New Bedford, Massachusetts studio, I made each design initially by hand-carving or sculpting jeweler’s wax.

Though I’m no longer making pieces to order, I’m happy to share a selection of my past designs and invite you to explore my work.
